We are inviting applications for the role of Medicaid Billing Specialist in the non-profit sector in Paramus, New Jersey. This role involves a combination of onsite and remote work, with the first month primarily onsite and then transitioning to a hybrid model. The position is a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle Medicaid billing for services

• Follow up on denied claims and ensure all issues are resolved promptly

• Conduct regular reviews of Accounts Receivable (AR) and initiate collection processes when necessary

• Manage claim administration and appeals effectively to ensure all claims are processed accurately

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Medicaid Billing procedures and requirements, and ensure all billing activities adhere to these standards

• Ensure all billing functions are performed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing

• Knowledge of accounts receivable (AR) processes

• Experience with appeals and billing functions

• Familiarity with claim administration

• Understanding of collection processes in a medical setting

• Experience with Medicaid billing

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication, both verbal and written

• Problem-solving ability and proactive attitude

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
