Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) mechanical outlines, packaging, and mechanical portions of electronic equipment and antenna systems. You will ensure the mechanical integrity of assigned products and support both existing product lines and the production of new products. Your role involves developing concepts and drawings for equipment, packaging, assembly, and installation in collaboration with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. You will operate under the general direction of the Product Engineering Group Leader and will be pivotal in maintaining project schedules and mechanical performance standards.

Hard Skills

• PCB Mechanical outlines or Electronic Package design

• 2D and 3D CAD operation

• Creation of Mechanical and Circuit Card assembly drawings

• Initiation of ECOs

Soft Skills

• Project management

• Collaboration with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers

• Support to purchasing or interfacing with sheet metal Manufacturers

• Independent task reporting

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Overland Park, Kansas.

Work Environment

The position requires frequent collaboration with a team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and supports interfaces with sheet metal manufacturers. You will be expected to complete tasks with little supervision and maintain adherence to company standards and project schedules.
