Job Title: Mechanic
Job Description
Service, repair, adjust and test all engines, motors, moving parts and equipment. Inspect equipment or materials to identify the cause of problems or defects. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
Coordinate scheduling with both shop's master schedules
Take incoming phone calls and communicate updates with customers
Post parts to jobs from work in process ROs daily
Review work orders and inspections performed on shift
Review parts orders and submit
Over counter parts sales
Close and settle COD work orders on shift
Assist in preparing estimates as needed
Close shop following closing procedure
Fill in for manager and run departments, as necessary
Perform other duties as required
Essential Skills
Diesel
Heavy equipment
Hydraulics
5 years' experience in heavy-duty truck business
Valid Driver License
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to use computers efficiently
Brake
Pneumatics
Diesel engine
