Job Summary

Summary: Manages the operations of concession stands and performs a variety of concessions duties while providing a pleasant guest experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

*Supervises concession operations and assists where needed before, during and after an event day

to ensure accurate staffing, production levels, quality control & timely service

*Oversees the opening and closing of the concession operation and reconciles

inventory sheets and supporting paperwork for all events

*Verifies beginning and ending inventory counts

*Communicates to the warehouse any stock that is needed during the event and

ensures proper transfer procedures

*Maintains cleanliness of concession areas and proper working order of concession

equipment including safe operation of such equipment

*Assists in the training of concessions staff and nonprofit groups

*Assists in maintaining uniform compliance

*Role is hands on with continuous interaction with staff and customers during

events

*Directs concession stand personnel to assure delivery of excellent customer service to guests attending the event.

*Reads, understands and communicates all pertinent event information as discussed in pre-shift meeting.

*Assures that all stand personnel are compliant with alcohol service policy.

*Assures that all products are merchandised properly and re-stocked as needed.

*Trouble shoots equipment and records any equipment needing repairs or replacement.

*Familiar with POS system and provide training to new stand personnel.

*Completes all required event related paperwork

*Set-up of all concessions locations prior to start of event, which includes: verifying opening inventory, assigning duties to concession workers (employee/volunteer), ensuring sanitation standards are met, checking food and beverage production meets projected event needs.

*Requisitions and stocks all food and beverage products and supplies needed for assigned locations.

*Provides back-up to any open position to ensure the concession location is fully operational. Ensures that company standards pertaining to speed of service and guest satisfaction are met.

*Ensure the work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination; immediately address all safety concerns, potential hazards, accidents or incidents. Relays safety/health issues to management immediately.

*Provides on-going constructive feedback to concessions staff and volunteers.

*Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.

*Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained, escalating to management or security when needed.

*Lock up and store all beverage products, food, equipment items, and performs all closing duties at the end of shift.

*Assists Management team with projects including training, inventory and special events.

*Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

*Must possess previous management or supervisory experience in a concessions or similar facility serving food & drink for large events

*Must possess excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills, strong orientation to customer service, and strong basic math skills to accurate count inventory and handle money; must pass a Consumer Report background check

*Must possess the ability to meet required tasks & goals and be results oriented in undertaking and managing multiple tasks while paying close attention to detail and customer service * Must possess computer skills and familiarity with POS systems

*ServeSafe certification helpful but not mandatory

*Must possess the ability to work hours as dictated by events

*Must possess the ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, work as a team, and have reliable transportation

*Must possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
