Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Orland Park, Illinois

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a VP/Director of Finance in Orland Park, Illinois. The role involves leading various functions within the finance department, including essential tasks such as planning, organizing, and managing multiple finance-related processes. The role also includes an indirect oversight of cashiering, risk management, and water billing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and directing various functions of the Finance Department

• Play a crucial role in the development of the annual budget

• Lead the annual financial statement audit process

• Oversee the functions of payroll, accounting, bank reconciliation, and accounts payable

• Provide indirect oversight of cashiering, risk management, and water billing processes

• Participate in contract management, purchasing, pension fund tracking, reporting, and cash management

• Provide high-level support on an "as needed" basis, perform research, draft correspondence, and manage programs as assigned

• Respond to complex citizen inquiries as needed and coordinate department actions/responses

• Participate in issues, projects, and programs, requiring inter-departmental cooperation or high-level response to residents or community groups

Skills:

• Proficiency in 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CapEx, CRM

• Experience in Accounting Functions, Auditing, Budget Processes, Capital Management, Cash Flow Analysis, GASB

• Hold a CPA Designation Requirements • Must hold a VP/Director of Finance role or similar for at least 5 years

• Proficient in the use of 3M, Accounting Software Systems, and ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with CapEx, CRM, and Accounting Functions

• Skilled in Auditing, Budget Processes, and Capital Management

• Ability to perform Cash Flow Analysis and understands GASB

• Must hold a CPA or CPA Designation

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead effectively

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong strategic and critical thinking skills

• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities

• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Sound knowledge of financial laws and regulations

• Ability to analyze financial data and create financial strategies for company

• Proven track record of successful financial management

• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial staff and stakeholders.
