Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiovascular Registry Coordinator's responsibilities include management of various cardiovascular registry databases and participation in performance improvement based on registry results as benchmarked at the national level.

What you will do in this role:

  • Establish and monitor quality control standards for the CV program.

  • Registry Management for NCDR, STS, GWTG, and SCPC.

  • Provide guidance and recommendations for internal process improvement in support of departmental and interdepartmental methodologies for CV services

  • Responsible for leading the effort in capturing, validating, and submitting registry data to various cardiovascular registries.

  • Provide recommendations to CV Director, Administration, CPC Committee and Staff to ensure the overall success of the organization’s compliance with the national benchmarking goals and CPC Accreditation.

  • Responsible for appropriate data entry and ensures that all parties play an integral part of the appropriate department’s daily workflow based on best practices from both industry experience, Lumedx Training, Registry, and Accreditation Guidelines.

  • Collaborate with Department Administration to arrive at appropriate solutions for corrective actions to meet the department’s needs in support of their documentation and collection of registry data as part of their patient/ procedure documentation.

  • Chest Pain Accreditation Coordinator

  • Demonstrate competency in emerging ACS treatment and diagnostic modalities.

  • Actively involved in educating others about the care of the Low-Risk/NSTE-ACS/STEMI patient. Annually reviews and updates educational materials as needed.

  • Assist in presenting ACS case reviews to medical staff for purposes of continuing education and process improvement.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Registered Nurse or if not RN, must hold Radiologic Tech license (FL) or RCIS or RCES certification

  • Associates Degree

  • 3 years of experience with Cardiovascular patient care and 2 years Cath Lab experience required.
