SUNY Oneonta Regional Admissions Counselor in Oneonta, New York

If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! The Office of Admissions at the State University of New York at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Regional Admissions Counselor. Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions, expectations include serving as a member of the first-year student recruiting team and working to promote and enroll students in support of enrollment goals and the mission of the University. The successful candidate will join an all-star team, dedicated to serving students and their families. To learn more about the University and the Department, please visit https://suny.oneonta.edu/ and https://suny.oneonta.edu/admissions Duties include but are not limited to: Travel: Recruitment travel in the NY metropolitan region including, but not limited to, the 5 boroughs, Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, Westchester, Connecticut, and New Jersey Tri-State Recruiting: Identify, recruit, and enroll qualified candidates for admission demonstrating an appreciation for diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experiences Event Superstar: Represents Admissions Office at high schools and community colleges in seeking qualified applicants for admission to the University Exceptional Connector: Counsel incoming students and their families regarding processes and procedure for admission to the University; extensive outreach efforts to develop awareness of SUNY Oneonta to target audiences; review application files and makes admission decisions Build a Network: Establish and foster relationships with college counselors, prospective students and families, community college advisors, agencies, and organizations Peaking Interest: Prospect generation; group presentations Salary: $55,151 + location stipend. Requirements:Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Ability and willingness to either live in/near and travel in the New York metropolitan area Demonstrated experience in college admissions or related area within higher education Capable and willing to work from a home office Valid driver's license Able to travel overnight and work evenings and weekends Additional: Demonstrated effective written communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred: Previous experience counseling/working with New York City students, families and/or CBO's Previous experience organizing and planning events Spanish proficiency Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion Experience using Slate CRM

Minimum Salary: 55,151 Maximum Salary: 55,151 Salary Unit: Yearly
