Omaha Public Power District Senior Organization Development Consultant in Omaha, Nebraska

The Senior Organization Development Consultant is a corporate role that supports the Director of Organization Development (OD) in designing and delivering programs, systems and developmental solutions in support of continued organizational effectiveness and health. The Senior Organization Development Consultant also supports OPPD by ensuring the company has a skilled, high-performing leadership community and pipeline of talent who strongly contribute to the overall operating effectiveness of OPPD.

  1. Serve as an internal talent and development coach to all levels of management.

    • Coordinates the identification of current and future workforce learning/performance enhancement requirements needed to meet the corporate strategic plan.

    • Leads efforts to design and delivery new or enhanced programming for OPPD and/or customized solutions and interventions based consultations with leadership.

  2. Facilitate change and development through the use of various OD and talent management approaches, programs, and interventions when and where appropriate.

    • Support the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of company organization development/change initiatives, talent management/ performance programs, employee engagement, and succession and career planning processes.

    • Consult with and engage external consultants, vendors, and educational institutions to evaluate, acquire, develop, and/or deliver the initiatives listed above.

  3. Consult with and advise Senior Management and Business Unit/ Division leaders about HC-related strategic initiatives, methodologies, and processes concerning issues related to OD, change/talent management, employee engagement, succession/career planning, and organizational design to ensure sustained growth and profit, loyal customers, and a high performing workforce.

  4. Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of targeted leadership development programs.

    • Administer/coordinate ongoing leadership/ management/professional development programs

    • Design/deliver learning development resources and programs to support growth within the organization.

    • Support and actively participate in the on-going implementation of Diversity/EEO/Affirmative Action programs.

    Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of five to eight years of role related experience or a deep level of experience (Approx. 10-12 years) sufficient to demonstrate sustained success delivering the accountabilities of the defined role.

  • Knowledge of organization development and talent management best practices, individual development, applied behavioral science, principles of adult learning, and effective group facilitation/ instruction methods.

Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences or business.

  • Master degree in the behavioral sciences or business.

  • PHR, SPHR, or CPLP professional certification.

Salary Grade: S5

Base: $94,112

Midpoint: $117,640
