A Brief Overview

The Information Security Analyst serves a crucial role in safeguarding Children's information systems and data from cyber threats. This role is responsible for monitoring security events, analyzing alerts, and responding to incidents to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our digital assets.

Essential Functions

  • Monitor security alerts and events from various sources, including security information and event management (SIEM) tools.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of security incidents to identify and assess the impact, root cause, and appropriate remediation actions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.

  • Implement and manage security technologies such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability management, and endpoint security solutions.

  • Develop and maintain security incident response plans and playbooks.

  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

  • Participate in the development and enhancement of Information Security processes and procedures.

  • Generate and maintain documentation related to security operations and incident response.

  • Provide support for security awareness and training programs.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Cybersecurity, Information Security or related field. 5 years experience as Information Security analyst may be submitted in lieu of degree Required

Experience Qualifications

  • 1-3 years At least three years of experience in computer systems with specialization in computer security highly preferred Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with Splunk, CyberArk, Tenable.io, Proofpoint, Palo Alto, Crowstrike or similar tools. (Medium proficiency)

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and protocols. (Medium proficiency)

  • Ability to analyze and interpret log data from various sources. (Medium proficiency)

  • Experience with incident response methodologies and tools. (Medium proficiency)

  • Knowledge of networking protocols and system administration. (Medium proficiency)

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. (Medium proficiency)

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. (Medium proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification within 1 Year Preferred or

  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) within 1 Year Preferred
