Job Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team, working in collaboration with project teams from design development through construction. This role involves handling new constructions, renovations, and system upgrades. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical, organizational, and documentation skills, and will be capable of high-level client communications and effectively managing deadlines. Responsibilities include conducting site surveys, preparing project narratives, overseeing junior staff in design document preparation, and providing field visits and construction oversight.

  • Provide Electrical Engineering design, guidance, and documentation on projects within Spur Design offices including client liaison, site investigations, contract documentation, and construction administration.

  • Develop detailed Electrical Design drawings and specifications from the schematic stage to complete construction documents utilizing Revit MEP or other modeling software.

  • Perform Electrical Engineering tasks including, but not limited to, production of contract documents, specifications, design narratives, calculations, equipment selections, and submission packaging.

  • Be able to understand and apply codes, design guidelines, engineering judgement, company standards, and industry best practices related to personal growth, development, and providing outstanding service to Spur’s clients.

  • Manage prioritizing project work pro-actively and provide program management within a multidisciplinary project team.

  • Take responsibility for time management of assigned jobs. Keep an accurate daily record of the time spent on each assigned job.

  • Maintain and update office systems including Revit (BIM) libraries, filing systems, and project management tools
