Are you ready to put your years of experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Field Senior Principal Engineering Technician to join our growing team based out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to support Field Services requirements.

You will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Lifecycle Sustainment and Modernization Solutions (LSMS). LSMS provides sustainment support for the US Air Force B-2 Bombers, E-3 Sentry, Airborne Warning and Control System, and numerous other Government platforms. Our team members complete engineering, reverse engineering, and logistics solution efforts to solve complex obsolescence problems and ensure warfighter supportability.

Candidate will be required to perform physically demanding work, to include working in tight, restricted access quarters, climbing 20 feet ladders and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical advice, training, and troubleshooting assistance to organizational level technicians and maintenance leadership for operation and repair of the aircraft mission systems

  • Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations

  • Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution

  • Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications

  • Collaborates with other teammates and has reach-back to engineering for problem analysis and resolution

  • Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors, and company representatives

  • Acts as local on-site representative to customer’s organization

  • Recommends corrective actions and resolves problems using technical publications and analytic techniques

  • Records information on maintenance data collection forms and automated systems

  • Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution in minimum time

  • Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience

  • Candidate must have experience in the sustainment of military systems and equipment

  • Candidate must have solid written and verbal skills in order to effectively interact with Government counterparts, other defense contractor organizations, and other cross-functional organizations

  • A basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

  • At a minimum, must have previously held an Active DOD Secret Clearance within the last 2 years or must have an Interim DOD Secret Clearance which requires US citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in military, government, commercial aerospace industry (e.g. aviation/equipment maintenance, aircraft operations, or commercial industrial technology companies)

  • Experience with 707 mission system trouble shooting and repair.

  • Experience with equipment logistics, technical manuals, overseeing parts ordering system, quality control inspections

  • Experience with use and interpretation of 707 aircraft system data such as Aircraft Logistics Environment (ALE) to diagnose malfunctions and identify systemic performance problems in conjunction with technical data found on a Portable Electronic Maintenance Aid (PEMA) system

  • Experience with networking and Information Technology systems

  • Certified as a DoD Information Assurance Level (II) technician. DoD IA Level II certification includes A+, Network+, SSCP, Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC or ability to obtain certification following employment

Salary Range: $61,200 - $102,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
