Senior Financial Analyst

Our client, a publicly traded, high-growth company in Ogden, is seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst with extensive experience in providing strategic direction and analysis. A successful candidate will have skills in forecasting, budgeting, financial planning, variance analysis, and month-end responsibilities. This dynamic position will expose you to a wide range of financial responsibilities and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly forecasts, comparing performance with operating plans and standards, and recommend operational adjustments if required.
Prepare reports summarizing and forecasting business activity and financial position based on past, present, and expected operations.
Analyze and prepare explanations of variances from budget, forecasts, and other benchmarks.
Prepare budgets, review proposals, forecasts, and provide necessary supporting documentation and justification.
Provide management with timely reviews of the organization's financial status and progress in various programs and activities, including capital approval and reporting.
Prepare closing work papers, make journal entries, and complete cost statements during the closing cycle.
Monitor production inventory costing and levels.
Perform other related duties as required.
What You Bring:
Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance; an MBA is strongly preferred.
5+ years of experience in accounting/finance.
Proficiency in Excel and overall tech savviness.
Intermediate to advanced level experience with Microsoft Power BI.
