Description We are looking for a meticulous Dispatcher for our operations in Odessa, Texas. This role is integral to our team, focusing on coordinating the transportation of goods and materials by assigning drivers to specific routes, scheduling deliveries, and ensuring timely and efficient operations. This offers a contract to hire employment opportunity with a focus in the trucking industry.

Responsibilities include:

• Communicating with drivers to provide job instructions

• Monitoring vehicle and driver locations and handling any issues that may arise during transport

• Maintaining accurate records of shipments and deliveries

• Tracking and managing fleet maintenance

• Managing customer relationships and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations

• Directing activities related to planning, procuring, dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles

• Directing investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints

• Collaborating with staff members to formulate and implement transportation-related procedures

• Arranging repairs and routine maintenance of transportation vehicles

• Promoting safe work activities by conducting safety audits

• Researching transportation costs and methods and identifying opportunities to improve network efficiency

• Scheduling employees in transportation roles

• Developing transportation routes

• Coordinating maintenance and repairs for transportation vehicles

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook, and other necessary tools for effective communication and customer service. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dispatcher or a similar role in a related industry.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook.

• Ability to answer and direct calls in a professional manner.

• Understanding of billing functions and ability to process invoices accurately.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage complaints and queries effectively.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
