Description We are looking for a dedicated Storage Engineer to join our team in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for post-sales services and support, including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of storage systems at customer sites. With a focus on NetApp technologies, you will ensure optimal system performance and deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure NetApp high-availability systems to ensure optimal system performance

• Perform regular onsite checks and system upgrades

• Maintain detailed planning, implementation, and closure documentation

• Collaborate with engineers and managers to share best practices and uphold high-quality standards

• Engage effectively with customers to deliver quality results that meet their specific program requirements

• Utilize various NetApp platforms for installation and configuration tasks

• Apply expertise with NetApp ONTAP and other related technologies

• Work proficiently with Clustered ONTAP, controller upgrades, FAS, AFF, and switch to switchless conversions

• Familiarize with storage protocols including NFS, SMB, FC, FCoE, and iSCSI

• Gain experience working in NAS and SAN environments

• Use skills in Brocade Communications Systems, Cisco Technologies, Clariion, DELL EMC Technologies, EO/IR systems, Backup Technologies, Common Internet File System (CIFS), Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Design, NetApp, NetApp Storage, and Netapp Filers. Requirements • Demonstrable proficiency in Brocade Communications Systems, Cisco Technologies, Clariion, and DELL EMC Technologies

• Experience with EO/IR systems and Backup Technologies

• Proficiency in the Common Internet File System (CIFS)

• Solid understanding of Computer Hardware and Configuration Management

• Proven skills in Design, NetApp, NetApp Storage, and Netapp Filers

• Minimum of 7 years of experience working as a Storage Engineer or in a similar role

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

• Relevant professional certifications would be advantageous
