Job Summary:

Akima Infrastructure Services (AIS) is looking for a Project Management Specialist to work in Oak Ridge, TN. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works with the project Principal Investigator (PI) to lead the project team through the five project management groups of Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing

  • Provides day-to-day support to the project with schedule and cost maintenance and status, forecasting and conducting what-if analysis

  • Assists in generating monthly reports on project status and performance

  • Attends technical and management meetings to understand and report status accurately

  • Performs ad-hoc activities as directed by the Principal Investigator

  • Supports the PIs and project management staff in preparing for various project reviews

  • Develops, presents, and reinforces project management process and systems training for all applicable project staff

  • Must have the ability to work independently with little oversight.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Project Management, Business, Engineering or equivalent.

  • Three to Five years of experience successfully performing project management duties

  • Solid understanding of project management best practices regarding scope, time, cost, change and risk managementexperience with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project

  • CAPM or PMP Certification

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little oversight

  • Ability to work on-site in Oak Ridge, TN

  • Ability to obtain DOE Q clearance
