We are in search of a Network Administrator to join our team in Oak Ridge, Tennessee with a Municipality client. This role involves planning, designing, monitoring, and expanding our network and server infrastructure. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to oversee the installation and management of servers, data storage, network hardware, firewalls, and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement network connectivity at all sites using switches, routers, firewalls, fiber optics, and leased lines.

• Monitor activity on all network switches, routers, servers, and firewalls.

• Create documentation showing network and server connections throughout the system.

• Troubleshoot and repair network-related issues discovered by network monitoring or by help desk calls.

• Maintain and make recommendations for improvements to enterprise storage systems and physical and virtual servers.

• Maintain server and network backup systems to maintain the integrity of backups.

• Analyze and troubleshoot problems of computer users with applications, procedures, software, and hardware.

• Advise on network equipment replacement or repair recommendations.

• Work closely with the IS staff to determine network needs and troubleshoot connectivity problems.

• Work with vendors and contractors on network or server-related issues and manage projects related to the network and servers.

Requirements • Proven experience as a Network Administrator

• Proficiency in Cisco CCNA and CCNA Technologies

• Expertise in managing Cisco Access Points and Cisco AnyConnect

• Familiarity with Cisco ASA Firewall and Cisco Certification

• Experience with Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) and Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert

• Knowledge of Cisco Certified Network and Cisco Firewall

• Proficiency in handling Cisco Hardware and Cisco Routers

• Experience in Configuring Cisco and managing Cisco VPN

• Familiarity with Cisco Technologies and Cisco Networking

• Proficiency in Fortinet Firewalls, Firewall security, Firewall deployment, and Firewall Configuration

• Experience with Cisco Catalyst Switches, Fiber Switches, and Juniper Switches

• Knowledge of Layer 3 Switches, Network Switches, and Router Switches

• Expertise in managing Switches

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
