We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Billing Clerk in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The successful candidate will be primarily tasked with managing invoices, reconciling information with purchase orders, and maintaining financial data. You will also be responsible for timesheet collection for internal employees and assisting with various administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and process invoices on a weekly basis.

• Accurately enter invoice details into accounting software systems.

• Reconcile invoices with purchase orders, verifying amounts, prices, and other relevant details.

• Manually collect and verify timesheets for all internal employees.

• Ensure timely and accurate submission of timesheets.

• Maintain and update spreadsheets with financial data using Microsoft Excel.

• Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth transactions.

• Handle email correspondence with customers regarding billing and invoices.

• Address customer inquiries and resolve billing issues promptly.

• Assist with various administrative tasks related to purchase orders.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements • Minimum of two years of experience as a Billing Clerk or similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and QuickBooks

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Experience with Accounting and Billing Functions

• Excellent Customer Service skills

• Ability to perform Data Entry with a focus on numeric data

• Experience with processing Approved Timesheets

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field is a plus.
