AnthroMed Education Speech-Language Pathologist (Part-time) in Oak Park, Michigan

Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) 2024-2025  

 

AnthroMed Education is a therapy group of Speech-Language Pathologists who support children in schools by providing high-quality speech services. We are expanding our team in Oak Park, Michigan, and are hiring a part-time SLP to support a pre-k-12th grade building. This SLP will support a non-public, girls' school and provide services for 10 hours a week.

 

The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving students' communication skills and academic outcomes, demonstrating empathy, patience, and a collaborative approach in working with students, families, and school staff. 

 

Our Process: 

  • Apply and meet the AnthroMed Team. Following a phone interview, qualified applicants will be invited to a Zoom meeting with the AnthroMed management team. 

  • We want to get to know you! What grade levels are you searching for, what eligibilities do you have experience with?  How far do you want to travel?  Our goal is to align you with a role that matches your goals and background. 

  • Start interviewing with our school partners to dive into the caseload, school culture, and specifics for each role.

  • Bi-weekly team meetings to brainstorm and problem solve with other SLPs! 

  • Dedicated SLP Clinical support including 1:1 caseload guidance, speech therapy materials database, and free continuing education opportunities!

Responsibilities:  

  • To provide speech and language services to students with impairments related to language, voice, fluency or articulation disorders.

  • To provide direct and indirect clinical-educational services to stimulate and improve student's communication skills and competencies.

  • To work collaboratively and consultatively with other special and general education staff in providing:

  • Prevention-oriented, curricular activities.

  • Screening for communication disorders.

  • Evaluation of students for special education.

  • Direct service to students.

  • Instruction for parents in techniques of home training.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Administrative and Student Services.

     

Requirements: 

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. 

  • Current Michigan state license or eligibility for licensure. 

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). 

  • Experience working with school-aged children. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and colleagues.
