News Corp Australia Senior Performance Manager in NSW, Australia

What’s the role?

As a Senior Search Performance Manager, you will take ownership of the entire campaign lifecycle, particularly focused on Paid Search/SEM campaigns and potentially other channels based on your expertise Working alongside a talented team of client success managers, you will be the subject matter expert on paid search. Executing campaign setup and implementation meticulously per News Xtend best practice Continuously optimising campaigns to maximise performance and return on ad spend (ROAS) Conducting thorough campaign analysis and providing campaign insights and recommendations to clients Maintaining close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure campaign goals and KPIs are achieved

What you will deliver:

  • Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and optimise paid search campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other relevant channels

  • Bid Management: Monitor and adjust bidding strategies to achieve campaign or client goals and maximise return on ad spend (ROAS)

  • Keyword Research: Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-performing keywords and opportunities for campaign optimisation

  • Ad Copywriting: Craft compelling ad copy that aligns with campaign objectives and effectively communicates the value proposition to the target audience

  • Performance Analysis & Reporting: Analyse campaign performance metrics, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness and efficiency

  • Budget Management: Monitor campaign budgets and ensure campaigns are delivered within the allocated budget

  • A/B Testing: Design and conduct experiments to improve campaign performance conversions/ROAS

  • Growth: Proactively identify opportunities and recommend budget allocations to expand into new channels or scale existing efforts based on market trends and campaign performance metrics

  • Planning & Forecasting: Assist and collaborate with presales to create client strategy proposals and media plans

  • Adherence to Best Practices: Stay updated with industry trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in paid search advertising to maintain a competitive edge and drive innovation

  • Client Communication: Collaborate with client success managers and clients to understand campaign objectives, provide regular updates, and address any inquiries or concerns

  • Channel expert and advocate: Create case studies and award entries based on campaign results as appropriate

  • Assist in training and development of junior operations and client services staff when required

  • Proactively providing input to operational ways of working based on day-to-day involvement in the process

Who are you?

  • Min 3 years of experience managing lead generation & e-commerce paid search campaigns (Search, PMax, DemandGen, Youtube etc), preferably in an agency environment.

  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads & Editor, Bing Ads (Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising as a minimum. Other paid channels is a plus)

  • Experience in managing mid/large scale accounts & budgets ($200k - $500k+ Monthly Budget)

  • Working knowledge of Data Visualization tools such as tapClicks or Tableau is a plus

  • Have the ability to make business decisions based on interpreting data in ad platforms and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics 4

  • Proficient in utilising Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 for conversion tracking across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads platforms.

  • Be organised and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, time management is crucial for this role

  • Be charismatic, direct and proactive with the ability to build credibility internally and externally

  • Have the ability to articulate information in a concise and compelling manner

  • Be proactive and engage with your team members, have a ‘can do’, positive and flexible attitude

  • Excellent listening skills to understand our clients and other team's requirements

  • Excellent communication skills - you need to have the ability to articulate information concisely and compellingly
