Lineage Logistics Senior Analyst, SEC Reporting in Novi, Michigan

The Sr Analyst of SEC reporting will perform accounting and SEC reporting research, complete key footnote disclosures, and assist with various aspects of SEC filings through the Workiva software. This position will have high exposure to key finance and operations leaders across the company’s worldwide operations. This position will involve building and enhancing new financial reporting processes at the company after its recent IPO.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Perform SEC reporting research and document the Company’s conclusions in technical whitepapers.

  • Apply disclosure guidance and examples of other companies’ filings to draft financial statement disclosures.

  • Prepare key footnotes (face financials, goodwill and intangibles, segments, etc.) for 10-K/10-Q and ensure SOX compliance.

  • Prepare quarterly GAAP disclosure checklist.

  • Monitor accounting literature for new reporting requirements that may potentially impact the company and change disclosure requirements.

  • Proofread 10-K/10-Q/8-K drafts for grammatical accuracy, formatting, and internal consistency.

  • Prepare monthly rollforwards of goodwill and intangibles.

  • Work closely with key stakeholders in the development, revision, and maintenance of the company’s financial policies and controls to ensure disclosure accuracy.

  • Act as a liaison with internal and external auditors on matters involving technical accounting, internal controls, financial policies, and SEC reporting.

  • Participate and/or lead various Corporate Finance & Accounting projects to improve the overall efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of financial close processes.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES):

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting

  • CPA required

  • 3-6 years of experience in public accounting and/or external financial reporting for a public company

  • SEC reporting experience, including accounting and disclosure research and interpretation

  • Previous experience with Workiva

  • Strong writing and grammatical skills with attention to detail

  • Capable of independent problem solving and utilizing available resources
