The Lead Production Quality Specialist is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of the manufacturing process by overseeing product quality reviews. While exercising a degree of autonomy, the focus remains on executing tasks within established functional practices and procedures, often under guidance. The position entails supervising a quality technical team within the production environment.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Quality Assurance and Control: Responsible for both quality assurance and quality control aspects, including ensuring the quality of products, services, and manufacturing processes. This encompasses adherence to manufacturing standards, incoming goods control, product inspection, and monitoring witness points.

  • Technical Expertise Development: Cultivates an in-depth understanding of the technical discipline relevant to the manufacturing process. Utilizes previous experience and acquired technical knowledge to execute policies and strategies effectively.

  • Understanding Business Drivers: Develops a comprehensive understanding of key business drivers, utilizing this insight to accomplish assigned tasks. Recognizes how the work of their team aligns with broader organizational goals and contributes to the overall success of the department.

  • Judgment and Problem-Solving: Exercises judgment in proposing solutions within established parameters, often seeking guidance when necessary. Draws upon prior experience and on-the-job training to address straightforward tasks. Possesses the technical skills and analytical acumen required to solve problems efficiently, leveraging internal resources as needed.

  • Supervision: Provides supervision to select members of the production quality technical team, ensuring their alignment with quality standards and procedural requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Quality.)

  • Minimum of 3 years of Quality experience.

The base pay range for this position is $83,800 - $100,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on July 15, 2024.
