Description

A Robert Half client, a leading provider in the health insurance industry, committed to delivering exceptional service and innovative insurance solutions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Manager to join their team. This role focuses on managing and servicing small groups with existing lines of insurance coverage. It requires a comprehensive understanding of group plan design and an ability to effectively communicate with clients and insurance carriers. Hybrid role in Buffalo Grove area. Health & Life License a MUST.

Responsibilities:

  • Place, service, and market small groups with existing lines of coverage, including medical, dental, vision, life, voluntary life, disability, FSA, and HSA plans.

  • Work closely with clients and insurance carriers to ensure comprehensive coverage and satisfaction.

  • Conduct group plan design and comparisons to offer optimal coverage solutions.

  • Communicate findings, analysis, and recommendations effectively in meetings, calls, and emails.

  • Reconcile client invoices on a monthly basis.

  • Maintain internal systems according to data standards to ensure accurate records.

  • Research, respond to, and resolve client inquiries and service-related issues promptly.

  • Initiate and manage activities related to implementing new carriers, including contract reviews and implementation meetings.

  • Manage and service tasks related to meeting client timelines.

  • Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Active Life & Health License

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an Account Manager role within the Health Insurance industry.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

  • Demonstrated experience in billing functions.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Knowledge and experience in benefits design.

  • Familiarity with Defined Benefit Plan.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaborative work.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
