Nexeo Staffing Experienced Machinist in NORTH SALT LAKE, Utah
Nexeo HR is seeking an Experienced Machinist for an awesome company in the North Salt Lake City area. The Machinist will operate a CNC machine and use existing programming to produce tools & parts to dimensional requirements.
*Responsibilities *
Analyze specification charts,samples,and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of
requirements.
Develop a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specifications.
Measure and mark raw materials needed to manufacture parts.
Set up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing plan.
Operate equipment to carry out each step correctly.
Monitor the production process and intervene when problems arise.
Inspect finished parts for flaws and defects.
Maintain equipment located throughout the machine shop.
Qualifications
Previous CNC programming experience preferred.
Understanding of material properties & characteristics.
Working knowledge of various measuring gages: micrometers,pin gages,dial indicator,screw pitch gages,height gages,and comparator stand/gage.
Advanced Computer Knowledge.
Ability to do trigonometry and geometrical math computations.
Ability to interact effectively with management,manufacturing personnel,and both technical and non-technical people.
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
Prolonged periods of lifting,reaching,bending,and pushing.
Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.
Must have manual dexterity to assemble products.
Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
Pay
$18.00 - $24.00 Per Hour
Schedule
Day Shift I 5:00am - 3:30 pm I Monday - Thursday
Swing Shift I 3:30pm- 2:00am I Monday - Thursday
