Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operators on 1st & 2nd shift who can set up and run jobs safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have the ability to load and set up machinery, comprehend basic math, interpret data from work instructions, and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance. This role also involves editing programs, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring quality control.
Responsibilities
Set up and run jobs, including first-time runs, safely and within quality and efficiency expectations using all CNC, punches, lasers, and brake presses (manual or robotic).
Perform routine and preventative maintenance and upkeep of equipment and instruments.
Comprehend basic GD&T.
Interpret data from manual measurements and make adjustments to processes to achieve dimensional and visual compliance.
Edit programs at the machine.
Assist in driving continuous improvement by improving processes, reducing cycle time, and reducing setup time.
Set up and run production parts within quality and efficiency expectations after training.
Interpret shop drawings, work packets, and fabrication setup sheets.
Possess good math, writing, and computer skills.
Use basic measurement tools in the fabrication process, including tape measures and calipers.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance and upkeep of fabrication department equipment and tooling.
Essential Skills
CNC machining experience
Ability to read a tape measure
Quality control experience
Precision measurements experience (calipers, micrometers, gages)
