Oversee the collection of data on the company’s specialty Italian product import and distribution operations, including cost data related to the import of premium Italian premium olive oils, pasta sauces, cured meats, and dry goods, storage and inventory management, transportation fees, and import duties. Review market research in order to anticipate customer needs and track consumer trends. Negotiate, review and analyze contracts with distributors, retailers and logistics providers to secure the best corporate prices. Make recommendations to executive management regarding price modifications as deemed necessary. Prepare amended agreements between the company and U.S. wholesale and retail vendors and other relevant parties for approval by senior management. Reviews contracts in order to detect ambiguities, inaccurate statements, omissions of essential terms and conflicts with possible legal prohibitions. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics or business-related major plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as Sales Manager or related. Related experience must include:1.Experience forecasting and analyzing Italian food market trends in the U.S.2.Familiarity with procedures for importing Italian specialty food products to the United States3.Experience with negotiation of food distribution contracts with wholesale and retail vendors
