Join the innovative team at L3Harris in our Space and Airborne Systems segment as a Senior EEE Parts & Components Engineer. This pivotal role offers an opportunity to contribute to the cutting-edge development and support of aerospace release systems, antenna products, and telemetry systems. You will be instrumental throughout the entire product lifecycle, from advanced R&D to design, and continuing through to production support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and validate requirements and qualification test plans for non-standard parts, materials, and processes, ensuring customer approval and compliance.

  • Lead component selection and define requirements for groundbreaking development projects and technologies.

  • Generate detailed part specifications and provide critical input to ensure PM&P requirements are seamlessly integrated into program designs.

  • Spearhead the adoption of PM&P requirements by applying contemporary engineering principles during early review stages.

  • Tackle obsolescence and End of Life (EOL) challenges with proactive management and strategic planning.

  • Collaborate with design engineering to select optimal parts that align with mission-specific needs.

  • Resolve supplier-related issues in collaboration with quality and supply chain teams.

  • Offer PM&P guidance and support to subcontractors.

  • Conduct thorough Failure Analysis, including comprehensive report writing.

  • Anticipate obsolescence issues with forward-thinking strategies and develop robust mitigation plans.

  • Monitor DMS/GIDEP activities, providing insightful reports and actionable solutions.

  • Excel in a dynamic environment by effectively managing multiple program responsibilities.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience. Alternatively, 10+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

  • A solid background of 5-6 years in aerospace component requirements, including Aerospace TOR.

  • Proficiency 5-6 years’ experience in electronic obsolescence tools and methodologies.

  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance is required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in failure analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).

  • Familiarity with diverse component families, including hybrids, microcircuits, semiconductors, oscillators, and passive devices.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with suppliers to address and resolve issues.

  • Knowledge of industry standards such as MIL-HDBK-217F, MIL-STD-882E, or MIL-STD-1629A.

  • Experience in reliability engineering, including FMEAs, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis (ESA), or similar disciplines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HAYSTACK, Accuris, or Silicone Expert.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $102,000 - $190,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
