As we continue to improve our capabilities, we are now seeking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer within automation. So, if you are excited about developing new production concepts for a flexible modular production through development, innovation and standardization, this is an opportunity to make your mark on the development and implementation of new automation solutions for our Factories globally.

You will become part of a team of Manufacturing Engineers and specialists with high aspirations, working broadly with production setup for new products – NPD projects – and new production concepts. You will be taking the lead in developing new production concepts and support the execution and implementation of the Equipment for our global Factories

Your location will be either in Kolding or Nordborg, Denmark .

Job Responsibilities

As out new Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting 1-2 projects in parallel, ensuring that the production concepts fulfill our Future Factory vision and delivered to the expectation of our Factories.

Other key responsibilities will be to:  

• Participate in Frontend projects to ensure DFM/DFA early in the concept phase, for our new products.

• Investigate and develop concepts for Modular production concepts in close cooperation with Innovation/R&D and external knowledge centers.

• Lead development of Equipment concepts with suppliers incl. spec, PFMEA and FAT/SAT.

• Support project delivery on time with the right Quality and cost

• Participate in defining our future Equipment architecture.

• Deliver data for CAPEX approval process

• Align PFMEA with DFMEA requirements

You will work cross functional with key stakeholders (procurement, product owner, R&D, Manufacturing/Line Quality) in an agile project setup.

This role will involve some travel (5-10 travel days per year).

Background & Skills

There are several ways to be effective in this position. You may have a relevant educational background (a degree in engineering), but more importantly you have solid technical experience and passion. You are a good executer and have or are willing to hands-on operational cooperation, that will lead to effective implementation. You have the attitude and energy to drive innovative concept workshops.

As the projects are technically advanced, you need to have a technical understanding gained through education or experience. Furthermore, you have knowledge about and experience with agile methodologies. You have solid communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing, and you can communicate with suppliers, internal stakeholders and customers at all levels. Danish language skills will be an advantage. Finally, we expect that you have a proven history of creating solid results in a cross-cultural matrix organization.

As a person, you are initiative-, action- and result oriented with a focus on innovative and creative problem solving, despite changing circumstances. The job requires getting things done quickly and dealing with a variety of activities. Self-assurance and the attitude to consciously guide towards results while constantly solving problems and engaging the commitment of others is essential in this position. Last, but not least, you are outgoing, balanced and have a persuasive communication style.
