How You’ll Make an Impact

We need a quick learner who can become a subject matter expert in our operations environment. The Direct Market Site Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the distribution of bulk automotive lubricants, packaged, and ancillary goods to meet customer requirements in the Direct Market network. Coordinates and oversees the repairing and maintenance of all equipment, vehicles and structural assets associated the facility and property. Responsible for assisting the Site Manager with EH&S, financial accounting and budgetary spend, and facility level HR and employee welfare matters. matters.In the role, you would also be responsible for:

  • Supervising all safety and housekeeping goals. Communicating to ensure compliance with all policy, procedures and regulations including Valvoline, OSHA, EPA, DOT and ISO are being followed and maintaining appropriate.

  • Providing employee coaching/training to all employees. Identifying and resolving employee concerns in a timely manner. Managing personnel/staff in all daily activities and manage vacations/time off to ensure production can be completed.

  • Ensuring all daily and weekly delivery schedules goals are completed. Define, prepare, and analyze inventory and delivery reports and trends.

  • Communicating with other Plants, Direct Markets and Transportation vendors to resolve delivery delays and damage concerns.

  • Investigating and resolving IT issues concerning warehouse scanners, driver ELD/Bizspeed handhelds, computers and packing stations.

  • Managing the vehicle fleet to include Preventive/Regular Maintenance, licensing, Toll requirements are complete and up to date with local and DOT Requirements.

  • Supervising site activities to ensure delivery schedules are met or exceeded while effectively and efficiently utilizing available manpower/staffing. Ensuring warehouse daily and weekly shipping and receiving schedules are met.

What You’ll Need

  • High school dipolma or equivalent

  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs. Able to sit and stand for long periods at a time. Able to walk safely through the warehouse

  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in Warehousing, Supply Chain or preferably in a Pick and Pack Operation

  • Good written and oral communication skills and be able to work with all levels of management and hourly employees

  • Must be able to develop, coach, council employees and resolve concerns

  • Must be detailed oriented and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven leadership experience

  • Microsoft Excel, Microsoft office software, SAP

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Bachelor Degree in business, supply chain, engineering or equivalent experience

  • DOT and distribution background

  • Lean or Six Sigma training
