Trinity Health Respiratory Therapist in NEWTON, Iowa

Description:

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide essential respiratory care to patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics, in a variety of settings, including emergency, critical care, home care, outpatient services, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), and acute care. This role is performed under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

  • Eligibility for or current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRT).

  • BCLS certification must be maintained annually.

  • ACLS certification must be maintained biannually.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Demonstrate clinical competence in the practice area.

  • Proficiently perform ABG drawing and analysis in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and CLIA regulations.

  • Exhibit sound judgment and knowledge of respiratory care while adhering to established standards.

  • Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.

  • Work independently, establishing priorities and organizing tasks efficiently.
