Job Title: Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrician with strong leadership qualities to join our team. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of commercial service electricians and administrative staff, maintaining clear and professional communication with customers and co-workers, and responding to customer complaints in a timely manner. You will also be performing intake calls with clients to identify their electrical needs, traveling to customer sites to develop estimates, creating detailed work orders, coordinating resources with Project Managers, and ensuring the accurate and efficient scheduling of service calls.

Hard Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to adapt and learn new skills and software

• Experience with Accubid Estimating software

• Ability to run all types of conduit- EMT, Rigid, PVC, MC, etc.

• Knowledge of conduit dimensions: 1/2"-6"

• Ability to read blueprints

• Acceptable driving record for company insurance

• Ability to obtain access to federal installations

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Professional appearance and attitude

• Ability to respond to customer complaints in a timely manner

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Newport News, Virginia.

Work Environment

The work environment involves working in various weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, high humidity, etc.) and near moving mechanical parts. The role requires lifting and carrying heavy objects, up to 75lbs, ascending or descending ladders, scaffolding, stairs, ramps, platforms and in/out of trucks, entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a keyboard, and possibly sitting or kneeling for long periods of time or moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet to enter confined spaces.
