POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Uniform Specialist is part of the Guest Services team supporting all New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center events. A list of events can be found by visiting https://www.prucenter.com/events. The position plays a key part in ensuring inventory, dry cleaning, uniform dispersal, uniform repair, amongst other duties are maintained and completed during the busy event calendar. The position supports the Uniform supervisor and works out of the uniform room in Prudential Center, helping to make our ushers, ticket takers, concierge, elevator, and rock squad team look AMAZING!

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW:

  • Uniform Receiver – responsible for receiving uniforms from dry cleaners and organizing and putting uniform pieces away appropriately. Responsible for maintaining proper inventory of par stock after new items are received from new or prior employees

  • Uniform Distributor – responsible for properly distributing complete uniforms to employees

  • Uniform Collector – responsible for ensuring that all uniform pieces are returned by team members at the end of an event and put away properly or packaged for dry cleaning

  • Employee Area Assist – responsible for assisting with the organization and proper display of all employee areas such as locker rooms, break rooms, and employee lounges

  • Replacement Item Assist – responsible for assisting with the replacement and proper documentation of lost or stolen uniform or equipment items

  • Repair of Items - Ability to sew/hem a plus to be able to repair uniform attire

  • Check assigned areas pre and post event and prep; proactively report and address needs prior to staff arriving/doors opening and follow up to ensure issues are resolved

  • Perform and complete a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, without the loss of efficiency or composure within the guidelines & deadlines set by Guest Services

  • Complete other duties as assigned by Guest Services supervisors and managers

  • Inventory, organize, and distribute/collect uniform and equipment items as directed

  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including uniform and grooming guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One (1) year prior customer service experience preferred, preferably in a sports/entertainment venue environment

  • Provide World-Class service to all guests, vendors, and employees always

  • Ability to handle tough, high-pressure situations while remaining calm and professional

  • Prior experience performing basic seamstress work, to include alteration and repair.

  • Reliable, punctual, and regular in attendance with good communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be available to work 75% of events each month, mandatory events as determined by management, and able to report for the following schedule:

  • Available to report by 2pm on weekdays (Monday through Friday)

  • Available all day every Saturday and Sunday

  • Ability to work until 12:00am or later per event needs

  • Ability to work non-event days as needed for inventory and new hire sizing
