Description

As a Production Planner, you’ll play a crucial role in coordinating production activities across one or multiple production lines. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Workflow Coordination: Managing the production workflow to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery.

  • Prioritization: Prioritizing tasks to maximize performance and minimize delays.

  • Customer Forecast Translation: Translating customer requirements from Sales into actionable production runs.

  • Collaboration: Regularly checking progress with department supervisors to ensure products are made according to the schedule.

  • Batch Closing: Handling the batch closing process for open work orders.

  • Operations Monitoring: Monitoring and adjusting operations to prevent delays.

  • Inventory Planning: Planning Finished Goods inventory to avoid shortages and excess stock.

  • Production Scheduling: Developing and owning production scheduling processes to meet customer deadlines.

  • Task Scheduling: Creating detailed production schedules with completion dates for each task.

  • Bill of Materials Management: Ensuring accurate and up-to-date Bill of Materials (BOM).

  • Raw Material Coordination: Coordinating with procurement to ensure raw material availability.

  • Data Maintenance: Updating and maintaining planning data within the system.

  • Capacity Determination: Calculating production line capacity, labor requirements, and raw material needs.

  • Inventory Optimization: Analyzing supply and demand data to achieve optimal inventory levels.

  • Innovation Collaboration: Collaborating with the Innovation team for new product development.

  • Logistics Coordination: Adjusting shipping dates, order quantities, and lead times with Sales and Logistics teams.

  • Quality Assurance: Coordinating activities with QA/Sanitation.

  • Problem Solving: Identifying issues, root causes, and implementing process improvements.

  • Goal Support: Supporting established plant and departmental goals.

  • Procedure Development: Developing and maintaining procedures for the supply chain group.

    Requirements

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• 2+ years in production planning
