Job Summary:

This position is responsible for leading execution and implementation activities for specific projects within HNS. This role will facilitate the development, coordination, communication, and accomplishment of short and long-term business and clinical initiatives. The incumbent will act as a liaison between the department and other constituencies, will communicate and lead in a manner that fosters greater understanding, employee engagement and drive for results. The individual will represent the department when the senior leader's attendance is not required. The individual will be experienced working in a highly matrixed organization.Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership and oversight for strategic HNS projects to ensure that they are effectively moving according to planned objectives and established milestones and measurement criteria.

  • Provides leadership and direction for change management initiatives, project management, and program implementation on behalf of HNS Department Leadership.

  • Collaborates cross divisionally and achieves actionable results through others, builds strong and sustainable relationships, and interacts effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Assists with the communication of implementation plans and visions across all of HNS.

  • Manages highly confidential information.

  • Attends key internal/external meetings and manages meeting follow-ups.

  • Deciphers critical information; documents, investigates and thoroughly answers critical questions; ensures timely follow up on all action items.

  • Tracks progress against plans, identifies any deviations and suggests plans to remediate; provides reports and analysis as required.

  • Brings department issues to the surface and ensure that they are considered, appropriate action is taken, and the results are communicated.

  • Contributes meaningfully to the prioritization decisions of the HNS portfolio.

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • Bachelor degree in business, finance, accounting, health care administration preferred or relevant experience in lieu of degree.

  • Requires a minimum of 7 years' professional experience.

  • Requires a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience healthcare industry or healthcare operations experience.

  • Requires a minimum of 3 years' experience with complex, enterprise-level implementations, process improvement projectsand/or project management.

  • Knowledgeable in and has demonstrated 2 years' experience with implementations within healthcarefield.

  • Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in hospital or healthcare operations or finance, project management and/or managed care provider network development or support.

  • Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in health care data analysis and technical document writing.

  • Strong understanding of Value Based Care is preferred.

Additional licensing, certifications, registrations:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly preferred.

  • Qualified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from an industry recognized leader (e.g. American Society for Quality) highly preferred.

Knowledge:
  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and supporting software in a Windows based environment, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Requires knowledge of health care industry or health insurance industry.

  • Requires knowledge of quality measurement approaches applied in measuring insurance, HMO, hospital and physician practice.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct multiple projects and activities with varied deadlines.

  • Change management experience in developing and implementing significant culture change within complex organizations.

  • Ability to problem-solve and operate effectively within a dynamic, results-driven environment.

  • Strong interpersonal, consensus building and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to influence individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to ask probing questions and obtain thorough and relevant information.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.

Travel:
  • Requires minimal travel.

Salary Range:

$106,400 - $145,215

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
