Job Summary

SUMMARY:

Under general direction, the Work Control Coordinator will work directly with POM to coordinate and enhance information services and technological related needs fostering better communication and relationships. As the liaison between field operations and POM, the Work Control Coordinator will be responsible for day to day interaction, administration, training, support and project management in relation to Information Services solutions for POM.

The position is responsible for the management of the Work Control Center and supervision of Facility Communication Technicians (FCT). Coordination of assigned administrative and general office activities consistent with departmental objectives, administrative policies and practices. Ensures the successful delivery of support services within the department or unit. Assumes responsibility of higher (managerial) leadership for department as required.

Work Control Center Responsibilities:

  • Run preventive maintenance reports and email illustration of progress to departmental personnel.

  • Run Room of the Day (ROTD) reports to track and close work orders.

  • Run specific reports as requested by Management.

  • Conduct monthly surveys to ensure departmental goals are met as well as customer satisfaction.

  • Complete weekly overtime validations.

  • Participate in and generate work orders for leadership/EOC rounds.

  • Make temperature adjustment through JCI, Siemen's and TMBA.

  • Generate work order for project management staff to attain proposals. Upon receipt of proposals and invoices, attach documents and costs to work order.

  • Perform quarterly re-charge reports and spreadsheet highlighting departmental revenue.

  • Mentor FCT's and provide training to new staff members.

  • Monitor the pneumatic tube system for downtime.

  • Sign off on attendance sheets for new employees.

  • Manage the Engineering department sick call line.

  • Manage FCT's staffing, schedule, and payroll.

  • Evaluate FCT's performance and provide feedback.

  • Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are updated and maintained.

  • Ensure FCT's adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

  • Organize workflow and ensure that FCT's understand their duties or delegated tasks.

  • Supervises and coordinates various personnel activities including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, training, disciplining and making salary increase recommendations.
