The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Responsibilities:

  • Member of the Transaction Banking Liquidity Product Portfolio Management team.

  • Provide analytics on the deposit business to drive sales decisions, deposit acquisition strategies, product enhancements/decisions, alignment with regulatory requirements/amendments, and sourcing new channels of funding.

  • Generate ongoing management and performance reports including weekly and monthly analytics to include: market, macro environment, customer behaviors, internal performance, profitability etc. for executive level.

  • Collaborate closely with sales partners to drive deposit acquisition strategies, provide subject matter expertise on macroeconomic environment/monetary policy, provide analytics on deposit behavior/profitability, recommendations on pricing and product positioning with clients.

  • Collaborate with product managers to provide financial reporting on products, positioning of products and product development to align with liquidity objectives of the bank.

  • Work closely with finance to forecast deposit balances and interest expense as well as provide financial reporting on leading and lagging key performance indicators such as deposit rates, weighted average interest rates, net interest margins, return on capital and marginal cost of funding.

  • Liaise between treasury and the business to ensure adequate deposit funding position, enact interest expense and balance sheet management strategies, coordinate business input in regards to regulatory matters, and improve liquidity premium and funds transfer pricing framework.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 3 – 5 years of banking and/or finance industry experience, with experience in banking business analysis or financial analysis

  • BA, BS or other relevant qualifications (MBA, CPA, CFA)

  • Expert level knowledge of MS Office (with emphasis on Excel), PowerBi and data querying

  • Understanding of regulatory implications on bank liquidity and effects on clients

  • Experience facilitating the design, implementation, analysis, and renewal of key performance indicators and data sets

  • Ability to conduct comprehensive deposit driver analyses using trends and forecasts to provide senior managers with data-based business intelligence and insight

  • Requires demonstrated ability to decipher and comprehend complex metrics

  • Ability to excel in execution of complex and demanding situations

  • Collaborative with strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Process and detail oriented with a strong ability to develop enhancing strategies

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work autonomously, initiate and prioritize own work

  • Solid judgment, strong negotiation skills

  • Practical approach to implementation of ideas, including knowledge of bank systems

  • Requires use of creativity and excellent judgment to provide analytics and advanced strategic performance reports

  • Requires the ability to describe complex metrics to senior management

The typical base pay range for this role is between $135K - $179K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
