Your Impact

HearstMade is seeking a selfstarting video director/producer to support branded video content production, with a strong understanding of social platforms. This role is an adaptable and collaborative team player an excellent communicator with a great eye for detail and top-notch organizational skills.

Ultimately, the video creative production team (including you) is multifaceted and is responsible for executing and evolving HearstMade's video strategy and capabilities to develop co-branded content that delivers on our brand partners' goals and our Hearst Magazines' audience (on social and on-site). The team is highly creative, curious, and collaborative. We thrive in self-sufficiency and personal ownership over work.

What Youll Do
The video creative production team does a wide variety of work, including but not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for managing and executing social and on-site branded video creative from the kickoff stage, through the pre-production and shoot day to overseeing the post-production.
  • Ensure there is a strong, clear narrative (story arc) and treatments that meets or exceeds our brand partners goals while maintaining our Hearst brands editorial integrity.
  • Works closely with Branded Content Editors in pre-sale to assist in pitching video concept ideation and execution.
  • Collaborate and partner up with Art Directors to establish moodboards, look and feels, and visual or graphic treatments.
  • Develop and manage the creative and pre-production decks for all assigned campaigns.
  • Works closely with the Production team to assess shoot needs and key crew members, locations, and feasibility.
  • Directing the production on set, while working with any clients to address live feedback.
  • Ability to work with talent of all levels, influencer, actor, celebrity, etc.
  • Working closely with post-production team members to ensure all deliverables meet client and Hearst brand requirements.

Who you are

  • You are a passionate, self-starter looking to join our fast-paced team of problem solvers.
  • 3-5 years of experience spanning agency, publishing, digital media, or brand experience focused on social video content creation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to be on deadline a driven, goal-oriented multi-tasker.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment; adapts quickly to solve problems creatively
  • Comfortable handling several projects at a time

The basesalaryfor this role is between $74, 000 and $89, 000.The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base payrangeis subject to change and may be modified in the future.
