About this role:

As a Senior Content Designer, you are an excellent copywriter who is strong in content strategy and customer experience. You'll collaborate with visual design, product, and technical teams to deliver clear empathetic, engaging digital experiences that are customer-focused and align to strategic business objectives.

In this role you will:

  • Write compelling and engaging copy that translates complicated concepts into simple-to-understand digital experiences for web, app, and messaging.

  • Contribute to design initiatives that bring to life simple, joyful, usable digital experiences

  • Collaborate with XD, business, product, legal, and accessibility partners to develop content and strategies to match our brand's goals with audience expectations.

  • Assist in editing and proofreading content to ensure accuracy and clarity of messaging.

  • Stay informed about emerging content design trends, tools, and best practices, and proactively suggest improvements to enhance the content strategy.

  • Enforce content guidelines and ensure consistent brand voice, style, and messaging across all channels.

  • Present ideas, collaborate and build consensus, and drive projects forward.

  • Maintain copy decks as a source of truth for legal, transcreation, and development partners.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a content designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful digital projects.

  • Exceptional creativity and a deep understanding of design principles, user experience, and storytelling.

  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Figma or other relevant software.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong analytical mindset, with experience in leveraging data to drive content decisions and improvements.

  • Expertise in content design trends and customer experience.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and strategies to stakeholders and team members.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Deep experience writing across different digital platforms (desktop, mobile Web, and app)

  • Experience writing for responsive experiences with a mobile-first cross platform mindset

  • Diverse professional background and industry experience beyond Financial Services

  • Exhibits positive energy and leadership, as well as a willingness to work outside of a typical content role to deliver holistic solutions to customer problems

  • Ability to break down complex topics into concise customer-friendly content

  • Meticulous attention to detail and great organizational skills

  • Experience working cross-team and managing input from multiple stakeholders

  • A motivated, self-starter who can juggle multiple projects at once

  • Ability to consider (and help solve) user problems creatively and critically

  • Understand how to prepare content for accessibility (ADA) and search engine optimization (SEO)

  • Comfortable working with both remote and in person teammates and in an Agile environment

  • A storyteller who draws users into our brand by weaving together a narrative that engages, and then re-engages, audiences along multiple touchpoints

  • (Someone who possesses) a deep empathy to understand our audience(s), their needs and how to earn their attention and keep it

  • A ruthless editor who's willing to cut anything that doesn't add value

  • Experience using content strategy and information architecture methodologies to optimize content

  • Bonus points for having created content for testing methodologies (user testing, A/B or multivariate)

Range NYC, New York and San Francisco, CA:

$100,800-179,200.

Pay Range

$84,000.00 - $179,200.00
