Amazon Fresh is searching for an experienced Senior Program Manager. You will be responsible for defining our promotional strategy across the Perishables vertical and ensuring that plan can be effectively and efficiently executed. This includes endcaps and circular strategy, reporting on efficacy, and meeting vertical and leadership level goals through volume and value of our promotional activity. As a Senior Program Manager, you should possess a strong customer focus, great retail instincts and be practiced at applying project management skills.

Program Management at Amazon is inherently cross-functional. The right candidate needs to be an owner of their projects and work across the organization to build practical detail into strategic plans. You will need to thrive and deliver results in an ambiguous and fast-paced business environment, operating across multiple teams and levels. You should excel at unconstrained thinking and have the ability to document and support your ideas to gain broad buy-in and consensus. You should also not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty by diving into a project to deliver results.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of programs related to promotions across our stores (both online and in physical stores)

  • Partner with tech teams to deliver new systems and processes to support this line of business; reducing pain points within the workstream

  • Support these programs and hold other stakeholders accountable for progress on key actions and deliverables

  • Create reports and metrics to demonstrate progress towards goals, provide new insights, and regularly update senior leadership

  • Actively seek feedback from key stakeholders and partner with tech and non-tech teams to drive continuous improvement

About the team

This role will support the promotions workstream across our NA Fresh Perishables vertical, which is inclusive of the Dairy, Deli, Bakery and Culinary categories both in stores and online.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
