McKinsey & Company Inc. US is seeking a Specialist, Data Science in NY, NY. Build predictive, explanatory and optimization models with high-dimensional and large-scale data in order to help companies use data to drive decisions. Analyze and evaluate large quantities of data, eff ectively balancing quality, availability, timeliness, and cost factors. Conduct data analysis to derive business insights and solve complex analytics problems using statistical models. Lead data science workstream to develop state-of-the-art machine learning models to improve clients’ performance and operational eff iciency. Involve in scoping, planning and storylining of analytical workstream to help define the end-to-end product and solutions. Supervise and coach junior data scientists to provide instructions and guidance on model development. Conduct code reviews with junior colleagues. Communicate and deliver explainable AI to clients to enhance the interpretability of models. Leverage advanced data analysis skills, and create innovative approaches to answer clients’ most relevant questions. Lead and support internal data science assets and product development as well as assist with client development. Telecommuting permitted.Qualified applicant for this position must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or related field or foreign degree equivalent. Qualified applicants must possess a minimum two (2) years of experience in a data-driven role. Experience must include the following: conducting data analysis and applying data science methods to business problems; statistical modelling and machine learning; ability to develop machine learning models and analytical solutions in Python, SQL, PySpark; cloud environments: AWS or Azure; machine learning packages including scikit-learn.
