Senior Manager, Operations - Market Launcher - Local Marketplace
Locations: NYC Preferred, Hoboken, San Bruno, Bentonville
Walmart's Local Marketplace team is seeking a dynamic leader to fill the role of Market Launcher. This role requires someone who can effectively manage a diverse set of stakeholders, planning, and executional responsibilities. It involves not just overseeing market launches, but also driving strategic direction, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and leading a team towards success.

The Local Marketplace team at Walmart is on a mission to revolutionize the shopping experience for customers seeking local products and businesses on Walmart's platforms. We are dedicated to building and scaling innovative ways for customers to discover and engage with local sellers seamlessly.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence : Understand customer needs, design optimal market launch criteria, conduct market sizing exercises, and maintain a market ranking model to prioritize future expansions.
Operational Execution & Program and Risk Management : Ensure operational, product, legal, and marketing standards are met for product launches. Identify and manage potential risks and blockers to launches.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Build, manage, and maintain relationships across different teams to drive market entry and strategic initiatives.
Performance Tracking & Reporting : Set and track KPIs and OKRs for launch initiatives. Consolidate learnings and provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
Team Leadership : Provide strong direction and communication to drive team performance. Opportunity to manage future market launchers as we scale.
Who You Are
You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills. You excel in building and managing cross-functional partnerships and are comfortable operating in a fast-paced and tech environment. Your understanding of the ecommerce landscape and the last-mile delivery space positions you as a leader in the retail tech industry.
What You'll Need
7-10 years of related experience in GTM, Launch, Consulting, Business Operations, Strategy, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills, preferably with experience in SQL, Tableau, or Looker.
Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
Proven experience in program management, handling complex initiatives across stakeholders.
An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to build new business initiatives from the ground up.
How You'll Make an Impact
Shape the strategic direction for Market Launches/Go-To-Market initiatives.
Scale the Local Marketplace markets from 0 to 1 to 100x.
Serve as a trusted thought partner to internal stakeholders, effectively communicating priorities, challenges, and risks.
Demonstrate a growth mindset and navigate in ambiguous environments within a highly matrixed organization.

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
