Genesis Corp dba Genesis10 Proposal and Communications Writer in New York, New York
Genesis10 is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Proposal and Communications Writer to oversee and manage the entire proposal process, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Questionnaire responses. This role is 100% remote and will report to the Head of Marketing for Genesis10 with a dotted line to the EVP, Corporate Strategy & Strategic Programs. In addition to leading proposal development, this position requires a strong focus on strategic communications, working closely with the sales team to craft compelling positioning statements and abstract concepts that resonate with client needs and business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Proposal Management: Lead the proposal process from start to finish, ensuring the creation of structured, well-organized proposals that effectively win new business.
- Content Creation: Develop, write, and edit clear, persuasive, and concise proposals, case studies, blog posts, presentations, email campaigns, and other marketing-related projects.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct extensive research to understand projects and business opportunities in detail and synthesize findings into compelling content.
- Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts to gather necessary information and collaborate with the internal team and AI tools to optimize content creation.
- Review & Feedback: Edit and revise proposals based on feedback, ensuring all deadlines are met and proposals are submitted on time.
- Library Management: Maintain and manage a library of proposal content for future use.
- Visual Coordination: Coordinate with graphic designers to incorporate necessary visuals into proposals.
- Win Themes: Establish and present win themes to leadership.
- Continuous Improvement: Review and evaluate proposal feedback to improve future submissions.
- Strategic Positioning: Understand and apply a sales mindset to create positioning statements and abstract concepts that align with client needs and business goals. Demonstrate the ability to translate literal information into compelling and visionary narratives.
- Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in proposal writing, preferably within the staffing or consulting industry
- Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Organization: Highly organized, deadline-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking and adapting to changing priorities.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Office 365 applications (SharePoint, Planner, OneNote), and comfortable using AI tools for content creation.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with leadership team members and subject matter experts.
- Graphic Coordination: Experience with graphic support and production coordination is beneficial.
- Analytical Skills: Strong research and analytical skills to understand complex project requirements and client needs.
- Sales Mindset: Ability to apply a sales perspective, creating compelling positioning statements and translating complex information into visionary content.
