Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management COO Team Analyst in New York, New York

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management provides a range of wealth management products and services for affluent individuals, businesses and institutions. These services include brokerage and investment advisory, financial and wealth planning, credit and lending, cash management, annuities and insurance, retirement and trust.

Private Wealth Management (PWM) is the boutique business within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management that is exclusively focused on the ultra-high net worth (UHNW) client segment. The PWM COO Team works directly with the Head of PWM, COO of PWM, regional PWM Management, and the 600 Private Wealth Advisors across the US. The PWM COO Team plays a critical role in the development, analysis, and execution of a broad range of strategic and tactical business initiatives, including: overall PWM business strategy; advisor, branch, and management reporting & analytics; budgeting and strategic planning; improvement and optimal deployment of UHNW resources; UHNW product development and support; advisor compensation policies; platform integration and efficiencies; marketing & business development; and the implementation of firm-wide initiatives. In addition, the PWM COO Team collaborates across other specialty businesses including International Wealth Management and Global Sports & Entertainment and with teams across Wealth Management, Finance, Marketing, Analytics & Data, and other product and service areas.

The PWM COO Team Analyst will help with the organization and implementation of several initiatives and will be expected to independently take on new responsibilities and be a high impact team member.

Responsibilities include: • Strategic Initiatives: Assist with the project management and execution of UHNW strategic initiatives (e.g., large asset opportunities, new products and services, etc.) • Management Reporting & Leadership Presentations: Assist with the creation of various presentations and talking points, including for internal meetings, conferences, and townhalls • Business Management: Help manage several key processes owned by the PWM COO Team including maintaining internal websites and materials, data requests, analysis of key metrics, memos and communications, recurring monthly calls with advisors and management, select event and planning support, and meeting prep

Qualifications: • Undergraduate degree • 0-2 years of prior work experience • Has worked in a team setting and successfully collaborated on different projects • Strong attention to detail and focus on producing the highest quality work • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel; above-average PowerPoint skills • Knowledge of Wealth Management business, products, and services • Desire to understand the PWM business and the different needs of the UHNW client and advisor • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills • Strong written and oral communication skills • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task • Self-starter and team player who is enthusiastic about working across a large organization with many partners • High degree of professionalism, positive attitude, and good judgment • Ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $60,000 and $110,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
