Production Engineer in New York, NY.Job Duties: Manage and lead a team of engineers to deliver on product and business deliverables and responsible for the infrastructure components. Lead the design, and development of nextgeneration tools and infrastructure including core functionality, application logic, operational reliability, and scalability/performance. Lead projects in the tools development space, involving pure development as well as adapting and integrating open-source software. Promote technical excellence practices, including effective design reviews, agile methodologies, code quality, code reviews, etc. Build productive, high trust relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization: up, down, and sideways. Oversees the coordination of staffing, scheduling, budgeting, work processes and procedures. Supports the establishment and execution of department operational plans/objectives, including business, production and/or organizational priorities. Develops or modifies operating policies and procedures that affect departments and subordinate sections and work units, within the latitude of company-wide policies and procedures. Evaluates complex, operational and organizational challenges, which require an in-depth knowledge of organization objectives. Resolves problems by leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Developer Manager, Software Engineer Manager, Systems Engineer Manager, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 2 years performing:•Python, PERL, Go, or node;• Maven, Docker, or Chef;•Building CI/CD Pipelines and owning application lifecycle management;•Scaling, Debugging, and Operating Large Scale web apps and Cloud Deployments;•container technologies and Cloud Orchestration Tools;•Unix or linux; and•Driving incident resolution and conducting detailed root cause analysis.In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years experience, employer will accept 6 years of experience in the above.Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.Telecommute role, may work remotely from anywhere in the US.Salary: $262,621.00- $299,375.00 per year.
