Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

We are hiring an Engineer in the NYC office! As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing HVAC equipment using AutoCAD, creating post-approval amendment drawings, and performing load calculations.

This is a fully on-site position in Manhattan, New York, New York, 10016

Job Description

Your role will include uploading drawings to DOB now, conducting site surveys to document existing conditions, and reviewing contractor submittals and shop drawings. Additionally, you will evaluate building energy performance through onsite field measurements and energy analysis methods, which encompass cooling and heating load calculations, duct sizing, equipment selection, writing specifications, and cost estimating.

Requirements

• AutoCAD

• 2+ years of experience in HVAC design

• Load calculations (Carrier - HAP is preferred)

• Mechanical markups

• Site surveys: Documenting existing conditions

• Review contractor submittals and shop drawings
