Job Description

J.S. Held’s Global Investigations Practice provides companies, legal counsel, financial institutions, and other organizations with the information required to make well-informed business decisions. Our team is retained to advise in multi-jurisdictional business transactions and investments, regulatory inquiries, compliance issues, and legal proceedings. With experts located across the globe, we support clients in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East.

Our Global Investigations Practice has openings available at the Managing Director level. The candidate will join an experienced and closely-knit team of investigative professionals, with deep experience in handling complex research projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement go to market strategies related to driving revenue growth

• Utilize knowledge of databases and programming languages (such as ETL framework, machine learning, Power BI, etc.) to analyze and interpret data, to include historical financial, operational, and transactional data, and identify potentially sensitive data content

• Prepare and validate analyses, reports, presentations, quantitative exhibits, and other client deliverables results of work performed

• Participate in client meetings to review results of work performed

• Responsible for management of day-to-day activities of a project including interaction with other team members, professionals from other firms involved in the engagement, and clients

• Mentor and drive team development as part of (and outside of) engagements

• Execute and expand on projects involving the identification, collection, processing, review, and/or analyses of electronic data relevant to management consulting, financial investigation and/or regulatory/compliance engagements

• Build relationships and engage in activities to generate qualified leads

• Working on other project-based work, across all industries and geographies

• Production of written reports, often with tight deadlines

• Provide regulatory oversight and optimization within reporting platforms that drive strategic business decisions

  Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant work experience in the consulting industry

• 5+ years of experience with database programming languages (SQL, PL/SQL) and other database applications (Oracle, MS SQL)

• 3+ years of experience with other programming and scripting languages (Python, C#)

• 3+ years of experience with ETL software and data visualization tools (PowerBI, SSRS, Tableau)

• A curious intellect and a keen interest in research

• An ability to present complicated ideas in prose form

• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

• Strong organization skills and attention to detail

  Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in MIS, Computer Science or Business Analytics

  Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

• Ability to travel as needed

• Ability to remain seated for as necessary for a normal work shift
