Join our dedicated team as an Arborist working on a critical environmental conservation project. This role involves assessing trees for the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) in collaboration with the Parks Department, providing construction oversight on project sites, and performing thorough inspections of trees. You will be responsible for daily reporting, overseeing contractors for various treatments and emergency responses, and utilizing the city's FORMS System for stump inspections. The role demands full-time commitment through October, slows down during the winter months, and picks up again in March.

Hard Skills

• 1+ year experience in tree maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment of tree pests and diseases, pruning

• Construction oversight experience

• Experience using city FORMS System

Soft Skills

• Great communication and writing skills

This is a contract position with a duration of 2 Year(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in New York, New York.

Work Environment

100 percent field-based with travel to 20-40 sites per day. Must have own reliable vehicle.
