The Role: Executive Director, Product Management, Municipals

The Team: The Enterprise Solutions business within S&P Global Market intelligence provides buy-side, sell-side, and corporate clients with industry-leading software, data and services.

The Municipals product suite within Enterprise Solutions offers Mu ni Bookrunning and Bookbuild software for end-to-end deal execution and electronic order entry, Muni Buyside Solutions for deal management and insights, Muni Deal Query for data analytics, BidCOMP for municipal competitive bid calculation and submission, Gameday Order Monitor for comprehensive deal tracking, and our Variable Rate Trading System (VRTS) for managing inventory of variable rate instruments.

Position: We are seeking an experienced Executive Director of Product Management to join the Municipals senior leadership team. To be successful in this role, a seasoned professional with deep knowledge of both product management and municipal services will be required. To ensure our municipal product offerings meet the evolving needs of clients while maintaining our position as market leaders, the ideal candidate will drive strategic vision, product development, and execution. This role has significant visibility with leadership and near-term opportunities for expanded leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy and Vision : Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the overall business goals and objectives.

• Product Roadmap : Define and manage the Municipals product roadmap, including prioritization of features and enhancements based on customer needs, market trends, and business value.

• Product Development : Lead the product development process, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, and marketing to ensure timely and successful product releases.

• Product Planning and Definition : Work closely with stakeholders to deliver high quality product definition artifacts including define product briefs, workflow maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring that the product meets the needs of the target market. Close engagement with Municipals clients and internal commercial teams to validate product definitions.

• Team Leadership and Development : Lead, expand, and improve a high-performing global product team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.

What We’re Looking For:

• Significant experience in product management within the financial services industry, with a focus on municipals or fixed income products. Proven track record of successfully managing complex products through their lifecycle.

• Deep understanding of the municipals market, including the issuance process, trading workflows, and regulatory environment. Familiarity with municipal bond pricing analytics and related financial content is highly desirable.

• Experience leading, developing, and inspiring high-performing product management teams.

• Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into actionable plans.

• Experience developing and executing product roadmaps aligned with business goals and market opportunities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to present complex information and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. CFA, MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $185,000 to $225,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus.
