Langan Environmental Field Technician in New York, New York

JOB SUMMARY This individual will serve a key function in assisting in environmental field work by collecting field data and samples. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of top-notch professionals in a variety of geographic areas and regulatory programs, and to collaborate and learn from our multi-disciplinary team of site/civil, geotechnical, survey, and landscape architect professionals on landmark land development projects.
RESPONSIBILIITIES -Assist with conducting various types of environmental monitoring (water, air, asbestos, lead) using basic field instruments. -Operate and maintain various remedial systems; such as drills, pumps, electrical equipment. -Assemble and maintain field equipment and systems; inspect equipment and troubleshoot as necessary. -Collect water samples from streams and lakes, raw, semi-processed or processed water, industrial waste water, or water from other sources to assess pollution problem. -Produce timely and detailed service reports. -Perform other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS -High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field preferred; -Hazwoper Certification, maintenance of annual physical and respirator fit test, annual Hazwoper 8 hr. re-certification, as required; -Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; -2+ years prior related experience preferred; -Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred; -Strong attention to detail; -Ability to multi-task effectively;
