The Fixed Income Division Structured Credit & Financing Team is looking for a highly motivated Associate or Vice President to join its growing Structured Credit & Financing franchise. The candidate will facilitate the execution of structured financing transactions and have responsibilities including: pre-trade portfolio and risk analysis, guiding transactions through the approval and execution process, and managing deals on a post-execution basis.

The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive the execution of structured financing transactions (including derivatives). Prepare pre-trade portfolio and risk analysis, and opine on structural and economic features.
  • Actively establish and maintain client relationships with top-tier institutional counterparties by liaising with clients and collaborating with sales on new opportunities and ideas.
  • Act as the product point person for clients, respond to queries and pricing requests, and assist in the growth of a strategic business.
  • Preparation and presentation of transaction committee materials, including close collaboration between risk, credit, legal, clients, and the business.

    Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate has relevant experience with corporate credit and structured lending facilities, and familiarity with ABLs, repurchase agreements, total return swaps, or similar financing structures.

  • Experience: 3 years working in a structured financing, trading, or asset-based-lending role.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized; ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders, including clients, risk functions, legal, and support teams.
  • Basic understanding of derivative valuations, risk, and cashflows. Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalent. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $115,000 and $125,000 per year for Analyst and between $150,000 and $200,000 per year for Associate at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
