About the team
Use quantitative and statistical methods to extract data and insights from structured and unstructured data. Leverage machine learning, statistical modeling, and quantitative analysis to create smarter, data-driven products.
What you will be doing
- Employ machine learning and statistical modeling to create and enhance data driven products
- Analyze and extract insights from internal and external data
- Work with Big Data and transform complex datasets into more usable formats
- Work with a variety of data science tools and programming languages such as SAS, Python, R, Scala, SQL
- Work independently and collaborate with other groups to solve complex problems
- Create and present analyses to internal and external partners and clients
What you bring:
- 3+ years' experience with Python, Pandas, PySpark (or other Spark programming languages), Sci-kit learn
- 3+ years' experience in the Data Science/Machine Learning/Advanced Analytics
- 3+ years' experience with advanced SQL queries
- 3+ years' experience working with either Hive/Impala, Hadoop, Spark, Map Reduce or an MPP system
- 2+ years' experience working with cloud-based stacks
Added bonus if you have:
- Knowledge of FIS' products and services
- Knowledge of the business goals, objectives and business operations for the appropriate FIS organization
- Knowledge of financial services industry
- Knowledge of basic financial analysis principles and ratios
